Lake Stevens senior standout quarterback Jacob Eason will be named to the 2016 U.S. Army All-America Bowl on Thursday, Oct. 15.
The U.S. Army All-America Bowl Selection Tour will visit Lake Stevens High School on Thursday to honor Eason in front of his teammates, classmates, fans and family during the selection tour stop.
Five U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Tour teams are traveling a combined 30,000 miles across the country from late September to mid-December to announce all 90 players and 125 marching band members invited to the game, which will be televised live on NBC at 1 p.m. from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 9, 2016.
Players are chosen for their excellence on the football field, but because they are both mentally and physically agile and they’re able to adapt to challenging situations, similar to Army Soldiers.
