Coming of a weekend where the team went 1-1 at home against Colorado and Utah, the Oregon Women’s Volleyball team will again head to a place they are very familiar with this season, the road. Oregon started the season going 7-4 and starting what seemed to be a never ending road trip that finally came to an end last weekend with their first home games of the year at Matthew Knight Arena this season. Oregon fell in five sets to Colorado on Friday evening, and beat Utah on Saturday night to get to 2-2 in the Pac-12 Conference. The team also fell in the rankings and are now just hanging on placed 25th in this week’s AVCA Poll.

Oregon heads to Cal and Stanford this weekend. Cal is 6-9 on the season The Cardinal is better at 8-4 and ranked in the top ten at number seven this week, but like the Oregon Ducks are 2-2 in Pac-12 Conference play. Oregon has several players ranked highly entering Pac-12 play including Amanda Benson who leads the Conference in digs at 4.76 per set. Maggie Scott comes in second in assists with just over ten per set, but the one to watch for Oregon is Freshman Lindsay Vander Weide. She has been named Freshman of the Week twice already this season according to GoDucks.com
