The Oregon Ducks lost Wide Receiver Byron Marshall, for an unknown period of time two weeks ago against Utah. One player should be ready to step into the lineup. Darren Carrington, who failed a drug test before the National Championship Game last season was suspended for five games from the NCAA to start this season. Now he is set to return to an Oregon Ducks lineup for the remainder of the season.

According to Fox Sports, Carrington was one of the most dynamic Wideouts for Oregon last season helping to lead them to the College Football Playoff and the National Championship and without Marshall, along with Devon Allen working his way back to form, Carrington could add a boost to the Ducks Wide Receiver Corps, that at the beginning of the season was one of the best in the nation. Oregon Wide Receivers Coach Matt Lubick says Carrington has made the whole team better on both Offense and Defense:

"One of his biggest strengths is he loves to compete and he loves to practice. He made our defense better because everyone’s going to have a hard time covering him when he was on scout team.Wide Receivers Coach Matt Lubick on Darren Carrington’s Impact(via Fox Sports)"

Time will tell the remainder of the season if Carrington can work his way back into the Oregon Ducks Lineup. Mark Helfrich and Company host Washington State on Saturday at 3pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Network.
