Description:

1. The applicant should:

(1) be a native speaker of English.
(2) have a professional interest in teaching English linguistics and other courses (including English conversation, composition, and cultural studies).
(3) have a Ph.D. or equivalent qualification (although applicants holding a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification will also be considered).
(4) be able to teach English linguistics as a graduate course.

2. The official status will be term-limited visiting lectureship with the teaching load of approximately five to seven 90-minute classes per week. It is necessary to cooperate in marking of the Kyushu University Entrance Examinations and other office duties.

3. Term of Employment: one year, renewable once.

4. Remuneration will be approximately five to nine million yen per annum (including bonuses) before tax depending on age, qualifications and experience. The travel expenses from the selected applicant’s present address to Fukuoka will be refunded by the university.
