Here’s What Was Launched Yesterday for Lightroom CC, Mobile, and Web

In addition to Photoshop Fix, Adobe also announced a bevy of updates to its Lightroom line of programs yesterday at the Adobe MAX conference. It’s an update that “covers the full Lightroom ecosystem across desktop, web, and mobile.”

Lightroom CC: Local Adjustment with Dehaze

After Dehaze was added as a global adjustment to Lightroom back in June, Adobe is now extended the functionality by bringing the power of Dehaze to local adjustments. You can now use Dehaze with the Radial Filter, Graduated Filter, and as a Local Adjustment Brush.

Lightroom CC: Redesigned Import Tool

Adobe has redesigned the Lightroom Import tool for getting photos into Lightroom from your computer, memory card, and other sources. The new system is “faster than ever,” Adobe says. He’s a look at how to import photos from your computer:

Lightroom for Mobile

Here’s a rundown of what’s new in Lightroom Mobile:

The iOS app (v2.0) now has a built-in camera, a Dehaze filter, a Target Adjustment Tool, and integration with Photoshop Fix via CreativeSync. Another big announcement is that Lightroom for Mobile is now a free app that will not required any paid membership to use. “Unleash your creativity with free access to Lightroom for as long as you’d like on your smartphone or tablet,” Adobe says.

On Android, Lightroom for Mobile (v1.3) now has a Color/B&W adjustment tool, a Tone Curve adjustment tool, adjustable vignettes, a redesigned Crop experience, and support for TIFF files.

Lightroom for Web

Lightroom for Web has been upgraded with powerful image editing features that are used directly in a Web browser. After logging in and seeing all your collections that are synced to the Web, you can organize photos and make edits to them. You can crop photos, apply presets, or make non-destructive adjustments.
