WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says three of its rail stations will be closed this weekend for work.
Metro says that starting Saturday and continuing through system closing on Sunday the Vienna, Dunn Loring and West Falls Church stations will be closed. Metro says silver line service will replace orange line service, with all silver line trains running between Wiehle-Reston East and New Carrollton every eight minutes during daytime hours.
On Sunday, the rail system will open two hours early, at 5 a.m., for riders traveling to the Army Ten-Miler.
Metro says the red, blue, green and yellow lines will run on a regular weekend schedule.
On Monday, which is Columbus Day, Metro will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight and trains will run on a Saturday schedule.
