'Last Man on Earth' Season 2 spoilers: A New Phil

The highly anticipated premiere of "Last Man On Earth" Season 2 came recently on FOX.

The previous season ended a few months ago, earning an Emmy nomination. It explored the story of a group of survivors in Tucson, Arizona. The group began to discuss matters relating to relationships and repopulation. They even touched upon the topic of murder. The episode began with Phil "Tandy" Miller, played by Will Forte, and Todd, played by Mel Rodriguez, debating whether to gain a new addition to their group.

It was reported that a tall stranger was featured in the episode, who also goes by the name of Phil Miller. With that Forte's Phil Miller began going by the name of "Tandy." It was said that the episode saw the two unhappy with the addition of the new stranger. With that, Tandy and Todd began plotting the murder of Phil.

That led to Todd realizing that Tandy had actually made plans to murder him before. In order to add to the mess, the only women in the group were reportedly interested in the new Phil, which left Todd and Tandy in the background with no attention. It led to the conclusion of Tandy leaving Tucson and the group. This made Carol realize that she would rather be with the new Phil.

As said by the producer of the series, Chris Miller, this represented the turning point of Will Forte's character. Miller said, "Every time he's being honest, good things happen to him, and every time he starts scheming, bad things happen to him. He is a slightly different person since his truth epiphany."

However, they still end up leaving the city together. Therefore, the second season of the series will focus on Tandy and Carol's adventurous road trip. "Last Man On Earth" Season 2 will play every Sunday.
