Fresno State flags are posted at half-staff today through Oct. 6 in memory of the Umpqua Community College shooting victims and in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service on Oct. 4 per proclamations by President Barack Obama.

The president proclaimed October 4 through October 10, 2015 as Fire Prevention Week.

Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro has ordered that US and California flags flown on campus and athletic venues be posted at half-staff daily through Tuesday: the Save Mart Center, the Rose Garden main flag installation (Thomas Building), Bulldog Stadium and the North Gym.
