Over the last year the Oregon Ducks have made their mark on fans around the country and the world, and getting to the National Championship along with winning their first game in the College Football Playoff left those fans wanting more. Last season was very special for the Oregon Ducks Faithful and after several games this season it is apparent to us all that Marcus Mariota a special player for this team. He did take home the Heisman Trophy after all.

Breaking down the seventy-five highest rated sporting events on cable television saw the Oregon Ducks in two places. The Ducks were at the top in the highest rated game of the year, being the National Championship against Ohio State and also the third most watched game on cable with the Rose Bowl matchup with Jameis Winston and Florida State according to a tweet from Darren Rovell from ESPN:

The National Championship netted over 33.3 million viewers including fans of the Buckeyes who watched their team beat Oregon for the first ever College Football Playoff National Championship. Just over 28 million watched the Oregon Ducks beat Florida State in the Rose Bowl as Marcus Mariota handed Jameis Winston his first career loss as a Quarterback. The second came earlier this season as Mariota and the Tennessee Titans again beat Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to begin the NFL Regular season.

In 2015, Oregon has not done so well without a healthy quarterback in the Starting Lineup. Transfer Vernon Adams came close to bringing Oregon back against Michigan State earlier this month, but the Ducks fell by three points in East Lansing. Adams again started last weekend against Utah, but Mark Helfrich saw his team blown out for one of the worst losses at Autzen Stadium. The Ducks look to get back on the winning track this weekend at Colorado(ESPN, 7pm Pacific Time)
