Non-Conference Thoughts: Gary Andersen’s squad shouldn’t have issues week one or three but their first road game is also the first home game for former Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh in Ann Arbor. Just given that game I’d say this makes it a decent non-conference schedule.
Conference Schedule: Their schedule alternates with two tough games, two light until pretty much November. Interestingly the last two weeks are against rival foes Washington and Oregon which I feel will determine if the Beavers return to a bowl game.
Outlook: 6-6, Andersen is moving the offense from Mike Riley’s pro style to more of a spread so we’ll see how that works out. This record is more of what the head coach can do since I think the schedule is fairly tough.
The Beavers begin with non-conference opponent Weber State on Friday night in Corvallis before travelling to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan next week.
