NFL Training Camp: Philadelphia Linebacker Kiko Alonso Suffers Concussion In Practice
For the Philadelphia Eagles Fall Camp started this week and on Tuesday one former Oregon Duck who is looking to make a big impact this season suffered a concussion. Kiko Alonso, traded to Philadelphia in the offseason missed Thursday’s practice for that reason according to Tight End Zach Ertz via BleedingGreenNation.com. Another notable, Running Back DeMarco Murray was also absent due to illness.

Kiko Alonso now has another hurdle to get through to get back on the field. He has to pass the mandatory NFL Concussion Protocol. It is his first NFL Concussion and depending in severity could have him out anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.
Alonso is splitting time with DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks at Inside Linebacker with Philadelphia.
The Former Oregon Duck is playing his second official season in the National Football League after starting his career with the Buffalo Bills. In 2013 he had one-hundred fifty nine combined tackles with 72 assists and two Quarterback sacks. He also had four interceptions and a forced fumble. Kiko Alonso was traded in the offseason to Philadelphia in deal that sent Running Back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills.
The first preseason game for Philadelphia is August 16th when the Eagles host the Indianapolis Colts. The regular season begins Monday, September 14th with a trip to Atlanta.
