Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Anoop Jacob asked officials to complete the survey of land at the earliest as a first step towards implementation of the proposed electronics park at Amballoor.

The direction came at a meeting chaired by Mr. Jacob, who is also the local MLA representing Amballoor, at the collectorate on Saturday.

Initially, survey of 15 acres would be completed. He asked to complete the survey by August 12. Basic price fixation of the land would be decided after dividing it into nine categories. Then it would be placed before the district-level purchase committee for approval.

The basic infrastructure would be developed by Kitco. Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation would decide the price. District Collector M.G. Rajamanickam asked officials to visit the land to verify whether there is any need for changes.

Mr. Jacob said that any change in the alignment of the project would be decided after taking the local people into confidence. The minister would chair another review meeting at the collectorate on August 21.
