Trump wins either way

I am disgusted with the Republican Party, but it is still our only hope of avoiding the destruction of our country by the Democrats. Now we face the new danger of Donald Trump and his Third Party threat.

Trump readily admits, even brags about, giving monetary support to Democrat candidates in the past, because he was a “businessman.” In other words, he bought the goodwill of candidates without consideration of anything but business. Politics and the country didn’t matter. But now he claims to have put business aside and become a patriot.

In my opinion Trump is an egotistical bully who loves himself above all else. The welfare of the country is important to him only as it affects him personally. Unfortunately it appears that he is fooling a lot of people.

Successful businessmen are skilled at manipulating people and circumstances to their own advantage. I’m convinced that Trump has a business plan. Being a shrewd businessman he only hints at it, but the handwriting is on the wall. If the Republicans don’t “treat him right” and give him the nomination, he will form a Third Party, thus assuring a Democrat victory. Trump will win. Either he will be president or, having bought the goodwill of the person elected because of him, (as assured beforehand) his wealth will grow immensely in the years following the election.

I fear for our country if the Democrats win, but I fear also if Trump is elected. The man is such a blatant egotist that he might start a war just to prove he has the power to do it or because someone insulted him. When it comes to narcissism, Trump makes even Obama look good. When it comes to trustworthiness he makes Hilary look honest.
