Retired general Galant demands Netanyahu hold cabinet meeting on Jewish terrorism

In a letter written to Cabinet Secretary Avichai Mandelblit, retired Maj.-Gen. and current Housing Minister Yoav Galant (Kulanu) called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold an emergency cabinet meeting to discuss the issue of Jewish terrorism and how to stifle its potential growth in the wake of a recent arson attack in the West Bank that left one toddler dead and three of his relatives injured.
"Jewish terror erodes the moral foundation of Israel built and damages the justice of our cause," the letter began. "Jewish terror causes a wave of international condemnation and a severe blow to Israel's standing in the world."
"I formally request that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold an emergency cabinet tomorrow, Sunday, August 2, 2015, in connection with an upsurge in terrorism in general and in the context of the aforementioned incident in the village of Duma in particular."
Galant concluded the letter by stating that "It is my hope that this debate will prompt the government security agencies and relevant government departments to bring within 30 days of a comprehensive action plan, including safety aspects, legislation, enforcement, and education, for the purposes of eradicating Jewish terrorism."
