Best of the Delta event names winners

DeltaStyle magazine honored the winners of Best of the Delta on Friday at the Monroe Civic Center.

More than 20,000 votes were cast in categories from Best Hair Salon to Best Restaurant and everything in between.

Celebrity chef and writer Jay Ducote, who is competing on “Next Food Network Star,” was the guest host. Local celebrity award presenters included Doug Duffey, a member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame; Brian Wickstrom, University of Louisiana at Monroe Athletic Director; Jesse Romero, Master Chef contestant; and Alan Brockman with his Go Pro.

More than 150 winners were named in six main categories.
