Southampton face Chelsea-linked Vitesse in their Europa League qualifier: A guide to the FOUR Chelsea kids plying their trade for Dutch side

Southampton's Europa League opponents Vitesse are hardly a household name in England, but their links with Chelsea in recent years have brought the Dutch club into the spotlight.

Thursday night's European qualifier could see as many as three Chelsea-linked loanees featuring against Ronald Koeman's side at St Mary's.

Here, Sportsmail profiles the latest men in the string of 18 loanees to make the move from Stamford Bridge to Arnhem who are looking to put Southampton to the sword.

CHELSEA'S 18 VITESSE LOANEES

Nemanja Matic, Slobodan Rajkovic, Matej Delac, Tomas Kalas (twice), Ulises Davila, Patrick van Aanholt (three times), Gael Kakuta, Cristian Cuevas, Lucas Piazon, Christian Atsu, Sam Hutchinson, Wallace, Bertrand Traore, Josh McEachran, Lewis Baker, Izzy Brown, Nathan, Danilo Pantic

Izzy Brown

Position: Forward

Chelsea appearances: 1

Brown moved to Vitesse this summer having captained Chelsea's Under 19 side to victory in the UEFA Youth League last season.

The exciting forward started his career with West Bromwich Albion before moving to Stamford Bridge and made his Blues first-team debut against his former club in a dead rubber at the Hawthorns at the end of last season.

Jose Mourinho chose Brown as one of the players he wanted to receive a Barclays Premier League winners medal for his contribution to the squad in the title-winning campaign.

Tall, strong and quick, the 18-year-old could be a big threat to the Southampton defence with his direct running against a defence low on competitive match practice.

Lewis Baker

Position: Midfield

Chelsea appearances: 1

So two-footed that he can hit free-kicks with either, Baker has been tasked with delivering his new club's set-pieces during pre-season and will do the same at St Mary's tonight.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined Chelsea at the age of nine and has long been considered one of the club's much-criticised academy's most talented products, with Mourinho tipping him to make it for Chelsea and England.

He was praised for his technical ability while on loan with MK Dons last season and is likely to be utilised in a deeper midfield role than his Chelsea colleagues.

Danilo Pantic

Position: Midfield

Chelsea appearances: 0

Another option in midfield for Vitesse, Pantic signed for Chelsea in a £1.25m deal from Serbian side Partizan Belgrade this summer.

Juventus also made approaches for the 18-year-old Serb after he starred in last summer's European Under 19 Championships before he chose Chelsea in January ahead of a move.

A central or left midfielder, Pantic has experience in this competition and featured against Tottenham Hotspur for Partizan in the Europa League last season.

Nathan

Position: Midfield

Chelsea appearances: 0

Signed for £4.5million from Atletico Paranaense this summer, Nathan was almost immediately sent out on loan to Chelsea's Dutch loan branch in Arnhem.

The dazzling Brazilian midfielder was also targeted by Manchester City and is among the Eredivisie's most expensive additions of the summer - albeit with the bill being settled in London.

Nathan, 19, has been likened to Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, but Thursday night's clash comes too soon for the youngster, who has remained in Arnhem to work on his fitness after travelling back to Brazil to secure a work permit.
