Neighborhood Watch will be topic of Yucaipa-Calimesa Democratic Club program

Chris Bertello of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department will give a presentation on the Neighborhood Watch program when the Yucaipa-Calimesa Democratic Club meets at 7 p.m. Monday in the community room of Pizza Chalet, 34299 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa.

The meeting is open to the public.

The Neighborhood Watch program is approved and sponsored by the Yucaipa City Council and is part of the Community Emergency Response Team.

Members and guests wishing to purchase food should arrive by 6:30.

The club’s elected officers are Jack Brennan, Cecilia Johns, Mark Westwood, Jim Ewing, Tom Powell and Margie Gignac.

Membership is $15 a year.

The club will not meet in September because of the Labor Day holiday.

Speaker at the Oct. 5 meeting will be Greg Rodriguez of Palm Springs, Democratic candidate for the 42nd Assembly District.
