Redlands Entrepreneur Toastmasters Club will hold open house

The Redlands Entrepreneur Toastmasters Club will hold an open house featuring food and networking opportunities at noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, 1 E. Olive Ave., Redlands. Entrance is on Olive Avenue.

Club members are local business owners working toward the common goal of becoming confident public speakers and strong professional leaders. 

Toastmasters International has officially existed in the United States since 1924 and has grown to include more than 300,000 members internationally in more than 14,000 clubs in 126 countries. There are several local clubs that provide a learn-by-doing environment that allows members to achieve speaking goals at their own pace.

The Redlands Entrepreneur Toastmasters Club was established in 2010 and has about 25 members.

Members have further opportunities for growth through a series of annual conferences and presentations that range from local, regional, national and international as well social networking events with other Toastmaster groups throughout the year.

Small-business owners are encouraged to attend.

The club meets noon to 1 p.m. every Wednesday at First United Methodist Church. Meetings are open to anyone who wishes to observe or join.
