The Spiritual Treatment Center of Redlands will hold a fundraiser at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 featuring Brad Wethern portraying Ernest Holmes, founder of the Religious Science movement.

Wethern appeared as Holmes in a program in June at the Redlands center.

At the Sept. 13 program, Wethern will deliver Holmes’ “Sermon by the Sea” talk, which was delivered Aug. 15, 1959, and is known throughout the new thought movement.

Holmes’ philosophy is taught every Sunday at the Spiritual Treatment Center.

Tickets for the Sept. 13 program are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

To purchase tickets, call the center at 909-793-3004 or Brian Kern, program chairman, at 909-965-6442, and leave your name and the number of tickets you want to purchase.

Brad Wethern received a degree in dramatic arts from UC Berkeley. He is a writer and actor who has portrayed Holmes for several years at centers and churches around the country as well as several times at the annual Asilomar gathering at Pacific Grove.

His collection of short stories “Kids in the Wind” has recently been published by Red Hen Press in Pasadena and is available online from Red Hen Press or from Amazon.

Wethern is a practitioner at the Claremont Center for Spiritual Living.

There will be a continental breakfast at 9 a.m. before the Sept. 13 program.

The Spiritual Treatment Center is at 602 Church St., Redlands.
