Former Eastern Washington QB Vernon Adams Admitted at Oregon, Set to Enroll in August

The Oregon Ducks have been led by a Star Quarterback the last three seasons in Marcus Mariota, who has moved on to the NFL and the Tennessee Titans. In February Eastern Washington Quarterback Vernon Adams announced he was leaving EWU and transferring for his final year of eligibility to Oregon. Shortly after his announcement he was banned from the facilities there and has spent the last several months working out at a high school field nearby keeping up his arm strength and agility preparing for his next steps.

Those steps toward Eugene are now complete as Adams has been admitted at the University of Oregon,

according to Andrew Greif from the Oregonian. 

Adams had to complete classes in order to leave Eastern Washington. His first opportunity to schedule classes, as a graduate student is August 5th, just five days before the start of Fall Camp for the Oregon Ducks.

Vernon Adams comes into Eugene with high expectations for his final season in college after coming in second for the Walter Payton Award twice in his three seasons at Eastern Washington. In his time there he threw for over ten-thousand yards and completed just over sixty-four percent of his passes. It is still not clear if Adams will be the Starter for the Ducks first game of the year against his former team, which will likely be decided during Fall Camp.
