British star Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) has rejected any notion that he ducked a potential fight with dangerous puncher, WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman.

Thurman returns to the ring this coming Saturday night against Luis Collazo, who Khan dominated in the May 2014 co-feature to Floyd Mayweather's first defense against Marcos Maidana at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“I would definitely be interested in a fight with Thurman if he wins,” Khan told boxingnewsonline.net. “I’ve never ducked any fighter and a fight with Thurman is one I would certainly be open to. He’s undefeated and we have two explosive styles so it would be a cracking fight and one not to miss.”

The first target on Khan's list is Mayweather. The pound-for-pound king is scheduled to return on September 12th. Khan is angling to be the opponent. Thurman wants the Mayweather shot as well, but Khan feels his style is not going to present many problems for the unbeaten WBC/WBA welterweight champion.

“We’ve seen Mayweather in with guys who can punch like Marcos Maidana and  [Saul] Canelo Alvarez and handle them so I think the public want to see something different,” he claimed. Styles make fights and Floyd has seen Thurman’s style before,” Khan said.
