Somber Michael Douglas jets out of Los Angeles a day after losing his mother Diana to cancer
A somber Michael Douglas emerged on Sunday for the first time since his beloved mother's death.
The 70-year-old looked downcast as he made his way through security at Los Angeles International Airport ahead of a flight.
Diana lost her battle with cancer on Saturday. She was 92.

The actress, first wife of Kirk Douglas, passed away in a care home for Hollywood stars in California.
A memorial service will be held in Los Angeles.
Michael - who is a cancer survivor - has not yet commented on his mother's passing, and kept a low profile as he headed through LAX on Sunday.

The actor is currently promoting his latest movie Ant-Man, and will attend the UK premiere for the film in London on Wednesday.
Michael's mother Diana, who was born Diana Love Dill on January 22, 1923 in Devonshire, Bermuda, studied acting with husband-to-be Kirk before the Second World War, and they wed in 1943.
The couple continued to act alongside one another following their split in 1951.

In 2003, Diana and Kirk played a married couple in the movie It Runs In the Family. Michael played their son and Cameron Douglas - Michael's son with Diandra Douglas - as their grandson. Joel and Michael produced the movie.
Diana appeared in dozens of movies and television shows, including Dynasty, a stint on ER and a starring role in Planes, Trains And Automobiles.
Michael wrote a preface for his mother's memoirs, In The Wings: A Memoir, which were published in 1999.
