There isn’t a place under the spotlight for every single project, nor every single book. Sometimes, work doesn’t need to be fancy or pretentious. Just simple. This is one of those projects, a serious and calm book, designed in a serious and comfortable way, suiting the graphic treatment to the tone of the content.
This project is about a deep research on historical graves and tombstones. Despite following a thorough and knowledgeable investigation throughout a long period of time, the authors didn't manage to avoid some issues on the photographic documentation of their subject. Having a limited budget to produce this book, the design accepted the terms surrounding the project, transforming its weaknesses into its strengths.
In the end, it turned out to be a very simple book.
