HACIENDA HEIGHTS – A brush fire that spread to a home Monday night may have been started by fireworks.
The fire broke out shortly before 10 p.m. in the 3100 block of Punta Del Este Drive.
A caller who reported the fire said fireworks were set off near a bush, according to Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Chris Reade. The bushes were located near the house.
Firefighters put out the fire at 11:30 a.m.
The fire department has not released damage estimates and the cause of the fire as of Tuesday afternoon.
