The lovely north Monroe home of P.E.O. Chapter AE member Margaret Brock was the setting for that chapter's annual election of officers for the upcoming club year. Serving as hostesses with Brock were Yvette Greer and Carolyn Myrick.

The principle business of the day was the installation of officers for the new club year. Serving as president for 2015-2016 will be Loura Barr, past state president. Joining her to serve are Georgiann Potts, vice president; Tency Tarver, recording secretary; Lois Hoover, corresponding secretary; Terri Hayward, treasurer; Wendy Gentry, chaplain; and Sharen Haddad, guard.

Incoming president Loura Barr thanked the members for their vote of confidence for the new officers, and thanked her executive committee for being willing to serve. She also thanked immediate past president Carolyn Myrick for her two years of service to the chapter. Delegates were then elected to attend the Louisiana State Convention in May. Lauretta Tucker and Felicia Kostelka represented the chapter. Alternate delegates were Loura Barr and Carolyn Myrick. AE member Betty Farr was recognized at convention for her 65 years of service to P.E.O.

The Northeast Rose Society met in the home of Mrs. H. Perry Jones recently.

The program was given by Lou Osborn of the Shreveport Rose Society. She spoke on "Good Bugs – Bad Bugs." She taught members how to build special bug houses for the garden.

Delicious refreshments were served in the dining room where a table arrangement of garden roses dominated the room.

Fran Pontesso was elected president for the year 2016. Sammie Hightower brought a specimen of Neil Diamond, a new rose. Members attending were Becky Bourgeois, Sammie Hightower, Susan Robinson, Adele Ransom, Carol Parsons, Frank and Flo Hover, Bill Rambin, Harvey Hansen, Fran Pontesso and Lou Jones.
