NCAA Tournament: Six Pac-12 Teams Make Post Season, Ducks Face Iowa Friday

Monday, six PAC-12 baseball teams learned they’d be continuing on to the postseason after NCAA pairings were announced. Regular season champion UCLA earned the number one overall national seed.

In likely which was one of the last teams into the field Oregon continued their run of solid play to earn another bid under George Horton.

Oregon begins play against Iowa to start the tournament in Springfield, Missouri. The Hawkeyes finished second during the regular season in the Big Ten,c oming in at 39-16. Iowa has struggled a little after a sizzling start to this season and will be a threat to make it out of this regional.

The second seeded Hawkeyes didn’t play the number of NCAA opponents that third seeded Oregon saw this season not that will hurt their chances against the Ducks this weekend. This should be one of the better first round match-ups in the tournament field in terms of two/three match-ups.
