Earlier this month, we told you about the truly epic yearbook quote of Rafika Alami, who was photographed wearing her hijab, saying, "Only reason I wear this is to give you females a chance." The quote—and her senior photo—went viral, with basically the whole internet proclaiming their adoration for Rafika. It still, for the record, goes down as one of the best senior quotes we’ve seen in history.

But today, 6,229 people retweeted another yearbook quote, this time belonging to Oak hills High School senior Caitlyn Cannon. In one, simple sentence, Caitlyn managed to tackle the gender pay gap, the importance of feminism, and LGBT rights. How’s that for an impact?

"I need feminism because I intend on marrying rich and I can’t do that if my wife and I are making .75 cent[s] for every dollar a man makes," she wrote. The quote appears beneath her portrait, in which she’s sweetly smiling.

It’s no secret that women make less than men—in fact, the White House says that full-time working women earn 77% of what men do. A poll from the Pew Research Center also shows that women are about twice as likely as men to say they’ve been discriminated against at work because of their gender.

A feminist, as the Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie quote goes in that famous Beyoncé song, "is a person who believes in the political, economic, and social equality of the ses." We can’t exactly get equal pay without them, now can we? And as for Caitlyn wanting a loving wife, we’re all about that. And anyone who isn’t can read these words from J.K. Rowling.
