The members of U2 are grieving after the loss of their longtime tour manager, Dennis Sheehan.

The 68-year-old was found dead in his Los Angeles hotel room this morning, after suffering from an apparent heart attack.

"We've lost a family member, we're still taking it in," Bono said in a statement on the band's website earlier today. "He wasn't just a legend in the music business, he was a legend in our band. He is irreplaceable."

Arthur Fogel, the CEO of Live Nation, echoed the Grammy winner's heartfelt sentiments by saying, "Our heartfelt sympathy is with his wonderful family."

He continued, "Dennis always got the band on stage, pretty much on time. We're going to make sure we do that tonight, in his memory. It is absolutely what he would have wanted."

Sheehan's passing comes just hours after the first of five sold-out U2 concerts at the Forum in Inglewood. At this time, no changes have been made to the scheduled shows.

According to TMZ, who first reported the story, paramedics were called to Sheehan's hotel room in around 5:30 a.m. for an apparent cardiac arrest; however, he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Sheehan has been involved in the music industry for over five decades and worked with a plethora of legendary artists in the past like Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Led Zeppelin and Patti Smith.
