The Oregon Softball team is on a roll entering the Women’s College World Series this week. Hawkins enters Oklahoma City with a 1.45 post season ERA. Hovinga comes in at .64. The dup has combined for eleven hits and fifty six strikeouts in thirty-four innings. Entering the final game with North Carolina State five Oregon Ducks were hitting better than .400 – that streak continues entering Oklahoma City.

Danica Mercado is hitting at a .556 clip. Hailey Decker is hitting at .429 with eight runs scored through six games in Eugene this post season. The team has already set new records for home runs, doubles, walks and runs scored. This season they enter the NCAA Tournament as the number two seed.

The format is similar to the Eugene Regional and is double elimination. Lose two, and your out. If Oregon makes it to the final, it will be a best of three for the National Title.

Oregon will take on UCLA in the first game in the WCWS. The Ducks won two of three from the Bruins in their regular season series in Los Angeles in April.  Gametime is set for Thursday at 6:30pm Pacific Time. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
