Terry Sue-Patt, the tragic Grange Hill child star, who was found dead at the age of 50, may have been left undiscovered for up to a month, according to his friend and Grange Hill colleague.

Terry was discovered face down in bed at his London flat on Friday 22nd May after a concerned friend made contact with police.

Since his death, there have been outpourings of grief and condolences from his friends, former colleagues, including Todd Carty, and fans.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Lee MacDonald who played Zammo McGuire in the children’s school drama, said: ‘I’ve heard that he’d been lying dead in his flat for a month before they found him.’

He added: ‘It has been such a massive shock, I’m ­devastated. I just can’t ­understand what happened. He had fallen off Facebook recently and I had begun to wonder if he was OK.’

According to the Sunday Mirror, Terry’s dad Alston said that his son had been battling ‘personal demons’ since 1989 when his younger brother died in a car accident and had been struggling with rent recently.

Terry played Benny Green, who was the first pupil ever to appear on Grange Hill.

Friends and colleagues have described him as ‘a bubbly, funny guy’ and ‘a beautiful person’ among other moving tributes.
