Pac-12 Conference Brings in $374 Million in Revenue in 2013-14, Schools Average $21 Million

When it comes to revenue for the last year, being 2013 -2014, the Pac-12 reigns supreme topping both the Big Ten and SEC Conferences. According to USA Today, the Conference brought in $374 million in revenue for the year with Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott being the country’s highest paid CEO. He deserves is after building a model with a television network that reaches all twelve schools in the Conference and being a patient but steady leader for the Conference over the last several years.

and Oregon came in toward the bottom of the revenue stream. Stanford, Cal, and Washington led in revenue for 2013-14, but the difference between the top of the list and the Ducks amount is somewhat minimal. Stanford brought in $21.3 million, Oregon brought in @21.2 million. The team with the least revenue still had a solid amount. Utah took in $16 million in revenue during that period.

Another breakdown had to do with tournament/post season revenue where as a conference the numbers were good. The Pac-12 brought in $28 million from the NCAA Tournament, close to $40 million in Bowl Game Revenue, and also $13 million from advertising. As a whole, the Conference grew by $40 million from $324 million to $374 million in the breakdown according to Wilner’s look at the numbers.

The Pac-12 led by total revenue, but when it came to distribution to schools came up fourth. They were third in income for each school just behind the SEC at $23 million. The Pac-12 gave roughly $21 million to each of the twelve schools in the Conference.
