Jordan Bell Has Foot Surgery, Should Be Ready For Upcoming Season

Oregon Ducks Freshman Jordan Bell underwent surgery on Friday for a broken foot according to the Oregonian. The report was confirmed by Head Coach Dana Altman. Bell is expected to be ready for the start of the 2015-16 season.

Last season Bell set the mark by midway through the regular season for blocked shots by an Oregon Duck. He has his sights set on the Pac-12 Conference mark . He had ninety-four blocks for the Oregon Ducks last season and helped the team get back to the NCAA Tournament.

Bell averaged just over six rebounds and an assist per game. For the season he had twenty-eight steals,and averaged just over five points per game.

Oregon lost to the Wisconsin Badgers in the Round of 32 and finished the season ranked second in the Pac-12 to Arizona.

The Ducks will begin the upcoming season on December 7th playing Navy for the first time in the Pearl Harbor Ceremonies and the game will be broadcast by Fox Sports 1. The day marks the seventy-fourth anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Oregon faces Navy and Oklahoma will take on Villanova as part of the four team pod playing that day.

It marks the second time in three years that Oregon will play in a basketball game to honor the military.
