YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Voters in Struthers and Youngstown used electronic poll books for the first time Tuesday.

Poll workers just needed to swipe identification cards such as like a driver’s license, to help people sign in to vote.

The book then prints out information, which allows for ballot distribution.

“It is working very well. It is helping speed up the process,” said poll worker Vivian Sedlacko.

The electronic polling books will be used all across Mahoning County in November.

Polls in Ohio are open rom 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
