Bryan visited his childhood dream school

2017 running back Kyshaun Bryan (5-9, 187, Plantation, FL American Heritage) took an unofficial visit to see the Florida Gators on Friday where he got to meet head coach Jim McElwain for the first time.

“It was good, not a lot of the coaches were there because they were on the road but I met a couple of the coaches,” Bryan said. “I got to meet Coach McElwain and the recruiting coordinator [Drew Hughes] and I got to take a campus tour and see the facilities.”

Bryan had talked to McElwain a few times in the past but he liked the Gators’ head coach when he met him on Friday.

“Coach Mac is a laid back guy, but he seems a like a cool guy,” Bryan said. “I like him so far from what I know about him but I want to get to know him better. He told me to stay in touch and to come back and see him again.”

McElwain has put a priority on the state of Florida and he made sure to tell Bryan that he was a wanted man in 2017.

“He told me that I could get the ball out of the backfield, catching the ball in the slot and just a receiver out of the backfield,” Bryan said. “Since I’ve got two years left to play, they are evaluating everyone in 2017, but he told me that I was one of his top targets for 2017.”

Since Bryan is a 2017 prospect he has had a lot of communication with recruiting coordinator Drew Hughes and Hughes was excited to see that Bryan was finally able to make it to Gainesville.

“Coach Hughes has been telling me that he wanted me to visit, so since I was in Jacksonville last week I decided to visit on Friday,” Bryan said. “He told me that there wasn’t a lot of coaches there but he said he was glad that I visited and I’m glad I did.”

Before Bryan met with McElwain and Hughes he had a tour guide take him around campus and he was impressed with what he saw.

“I got to see the facilities and it was a really big campus actually,” Bryan said. “I liked how everything was close that you need for football. I liked how the players stay right across the street from the stadium and they are going really fast on the indoor facility.”

Florida showed the 2017 running back a good time but Bryan has long been in love with Florida and he was a happy in Gainesville on Friday.

“I grew up liking Florida as a child,” Bryan said. “Since I was a little kid I’ve been a really big fan of them so when I found out I had an offer from them I was very excited. I like how they put a lot of good players in the NFL and to finally visit there was exciting.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Bryan didn’t want to name a leader but Florida is very high on his list and he’s considered one of the top guys in the state at the position for 2017.
