Oregon started out the month of April looking to make a post season move following a March where they won just seven of seventeen games. It started out well with several wins against Portland and a series win over Oregon State last weekend at home in PK Park. The team took to the road to try and continue winning momentum against USC and lost two of three to the Trojans.

The Game three series finale did not go well for the Oregon Ducks. Jakob Goldfarb started off the game on a good note hitting the first pitch he saw for a homerun giving the Ducks an early 1-0 lead. USC would respond with two runs in the first off Ducks Starter Conner Harber who lasted just an inning plus giving up three runs on two hits. He also hit two batters. The Oregon Bullpen would shoulder the load the rest of the way.

Oregon dropped the series winning the second game and is now 4-5 against ranked teams on the season. The Ducks showed some fight getting to within a run in the top of the seventh, but the Trojans scored three in the bottom of the frame to extend their lead and take two of three from the Oregon Ducks over the weekend.

George Horton’s team returns home to PK Park this week to take on Washington for a three game series starting on Friday at 7pm Pacific Time.
