SAN BERNARDINO >> After being shot in the leg, a man ran two blocks north on Waterman Avenue and crossed the four-lane road before being picked up by paramedics Friday night.
An ambulance met the unidentified man on the west side of Waterman about a block north of Base Line. He was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center and was expected to survive, according to police Sgt. Gerald Beale.
The shooting victim was standing with a group of people at the entrance to Waterman Gardens when a car pulled up and fired at them about 8:47 p.m., Beale said.
Officers found shell casings on Orange Street a few yards east of Waterman Avenue.
No arrests were made in connection with the shooting.
