Gordon Goodwin & His Big Phat Band Swing Into Town

Do Not Miss Your Chance To See These Grammy Winners

If the Grammys are any indication, Gordon Goodwin and his Big Phat Band know their musical stuff. The group won the 2015 Grammy for Best Large Ensemble for their standout album “Life In The Bubble.” In just a month, they will be bringing their particular brand of big (phat) band jazz to our local community.

This eighteen man ensemble is sure to blow you away with their exhilarating take on jazz. While their decade and a half of experience playing together shines through in tight rhythms and perfect pitch, the solos are what will really get you moving. With nearly twenty members to its name, it is no surprise that the Big Phat Band offers a veritable mélange of talented musicians.

Even if jazz is not your particular brand of music, Gordon Goodwin and his getup have something for you. Goodwin’s compositions swing through rock, blues, Latin, classical and other musical styles, leaving a little something for everyone as they bring their highly contemporary sound.

You will not want to miss the chance to see Grammy Winner Gordon Goodwin and the Big Phat Band comprised of virtuoso trumpet, saxophone, trombone and percussion players. The modern take on the classic style of big band jazz is perfect for everyone, from our most experienced seniors to our youngest people who just want to dance.
