LA VERNE >> A woman who was hit by a Metrolink train Tuesday night was last reported in stable condition, police said in a written statement.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m., police found the woman alive and conscious near San Dimas Canyon Road and Sunrise Street.

The woman was airlifted to LA County/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. Police said she was reported in stable condition with undisclosed injuries.

Metrolink service was interrupted for at least an hour for the preliminary accident investigation, police added.

Her condition today is unknown.
