Oregon Ducks Hawkins and Glasco Sweep Pac-12 Player of the Week Honors

The Oregon Softball team is coming off a winning series and taking two of three games from the Washington Huskies over the weekend. Two players have swept the Player of the Week honors. Cheridan Hawkins was named Pitcher of the week for the third time this season and Geri Ann Glasco was named Player of the Week, her first time picking up the honor.

Hawkins started the weekend with a Perfect Game against the Huskies amd took just fifty-six pitches to dispatch the Huskies on Friday. She also picked up the win on Sunday throwing four and two thirds innings giving up two runs and striking out six. Her season ERA has ballooned from 0.32 to 0.43 and she is 15-2 on the season for Oregon.

Geri Ann Glasco had a big weekend assisting the Ducks to go 4-1 for the week. At the plate she had eight hits in ten at bats. She hit four home runs over the weekend, and had three alone in the finale on Sunday against the Huskies. She is hitting at .800 over the last four games.

Glasco and Hawkins along with their Oregon teammates will take their momentum into Los Angeles this week to take on UCLA in a three games series starting on Friday.
