It's wedding season and love is in the air

"She's goin' to the chapel and she's gonna get married"…. Our great friend Molly Frances McEacharn is all set to marry Wes Clement, but not before all of Northeastern Louisiana celebrated with the happy couple. Lake Providence Country Club was the site for the engagement party where hundreds of friends and family of Molly and Wes gathered. Party goers included Milton and Priscilla Linder, John Wesley Clement, Patricia Clement, Greg and Suzanne Clement, Jason and Kathleen Condrey, Mike and Katie Coullard, Lee and Anna Denny, Ken and Elizabeth Fairchild, Matt and Lisa Fortenberry, John David and Alane Frith, Toby and Rachel Frith, John Robert and Jodi Gaumnitz, Doug and Camey Hileman, Brian and Lacey Hill, Danny and Cherie Morana, Michael and Sarah Beth Massey, Kenneth and Loretta McEacharn, Colt Oswalt,Cole McEacharn, Christopher and Sherrer McKenzie, Catherine Meyers, Michael and Amy Sawyer, Stuart and Bay Smith, Paul and Allison Tatum, Todd and Lisa Walters, Josh and Whitney Ward, along with Mason and Staci Williams. Once again the Masur Museum and Director Evie Stewart held another sensational annual "Off the Wall" party. I am particularly fond of this event as it lets you check out new and upcoming artist's pieces at reasonable prices and you get to take your new find home that night. Not to mention the over the top trip prize which you can use to go wherever your heart desires — this year Mare' and my cousin Steve Brennan were the lucky winners. I hear they are thinking about a romantic trip to Italy for Steve's birthday. It doesn't get much better than that.

The Ladies' Bar Association Happy Hour fortuitously coincided with the Young Lawyer's Society social last week at the delicious and festive Don Tomas. We missed the ailing Vicki Green, but don't worry, we made a special toast in her honor for a swift recovery. Mingling about we saw Michelle Anderson Thompson, Clara Toombs, Lisa Sullivan, April Martin, Shereba Diaz, Peggy Sullivan, Charlen Campbell, Randy Yacher, Amy and Mike Sawyer, Cathy Semmes, Ann Files, Tommy HayesIV, Wade House, Mennon Campbell, Donecia Banks, Mario Leija and Carly Burkett, Lamar Walters, Shonda LeGrande and Lee McGaha.
