Two youths wounded in shooting incident

Two juveniles were wounded and a West Monroe man was arrested Friday night in a shooting.

Ouachita Sheriff's deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 100 block of Oliece Street in West Monroe. Investigation determined the suspect, Michael Britton, 19, had reportedly been in an argument with two juveniles.

During the argument, a handgun in the possession of the suspect discharged. Both juveniles were wounded and were transported to a local hospital, where they were treated and released.

Britton was booked in OCC on the charge of two counts of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile.
