BJ Kelley Added To List Of Those Not Returning To Oregon Ducks For 2015

It is hard to believe that the Oregon Ducks will begin Spring Practice next week in Eugene. The team is coming off a loss in the National Championship against Ohio State and the loss of Starting Quarterback Marcus Mariota who left early for the National Football League. Not only are the Ducks looking for the answer at Signal Caller in 2015, but they will also be looking to fill two other roles.

According to Andrew Greif from the Oregonian, Wide Receiver B.J. Kelley and Offensive Lineman Jamal Prater will not return for their final year in Eugene to play for Oregon. Kelley is frustrated with playing time in Eugene and will look elsewhere to finish out his playing career. Kelley can transfer to an FBS school and play immediately.

Prater found himself in a similar situation at Oregon playing in limited time. He played in five games in 2014 and nine in his career. He played a key role on the scout team in 2011. Prater and Kelley are part of a mounting list of players not returning this season including Andre Yruretagoyena, and Sam Kamp who retired from football due to injury, and Chance Allen who is transferring to Houston.

Spring practice begins for the Ducks on Tuesday. The annual Spring Game will take place on Saturday, May 2nd at Autzen Stadium.
