An anonymous computer engineer figured out a way to use a dummy profile to trick two guys into talking to each other. He sent over the results to The Verge, and they're hilarious. Basically, each guy thought they were talking to a girl they just matched with, but instead, end up messaging each other, and sometimes it takes them a while to figure it out.

The hacker only did it a few times, so don't worry that someone out there is playing virtual matchmaker with all the wrong people. He also developed code that scrambled phone numbers and terminated the chat before anyone ever met up in real life. But he said it was crazy how desperate guys would pretty much ignore the "warning signs" that the person they were talking to wasn't who they thought they were. "They ignore all the signs, they ignore all the weird things," he said.

There's a lot more dude accidental flirtation here, including two guys talking about popsicles and ice cream together for wayyyy too long before figuring it out.
