Olivia Post, a senior at Evanston Township High School, has been honored for her exemplary volunteer service with a President’s Volunteer Service Award from The 2015 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program.
Sponsored by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the program recognizes young people across America for outstanding volunteer service.
In 2014, Post founded Cents4Soccer, a charitable organization that helps provide soccer equipment, training, and other resources to youth in Guatemala.
She also created a company called oNe Sports, Ltd. which supports the need for affordable, high quality soccer balls. For every soccer ball sold, oNe Sports matches the purchase with a new one to be donated to a deserving child, club, or team in need.
“A soccer ball can change a person’s life. From street soccer, to playing in the backyard, to the pros, one soccer ball can make a difference,” she said.
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the nation’s largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer service.
