Papa Murphy's is American consumers' favorite pizza chain for the second year in a row, according to a recent report from Market Force.

The report was based on data from an annual survey of more than 12,700 consumers in the United States who were asked to rate their satisfaction with their last experience at a given restaurant chain and their likelihood to recommend it to others. Each restaurant brand was assigned a Composite Loyalty Index score based on service, food quality, and value.

Papa Murphy's, which differentiates itself by making pizzas for customers to take home and bake themselves, ranked first thanks to high food quality, healthiness, speedy service, and cleanliness ratings. Pizza Ranch ranked second, followed by Papa John's, Domino's, and CiCi's Pizza.

Chipotle and Qdoba tied for first place in the Mexican fare category. El Pollo Loco moved up several spots in this year's survey to land in second place.

Chick-fil-A is consumers' favorite chicken chain, followed closely by Raising Cane's.

Jason's Deli ranked as the top sandwich chain this year, beating out incumbent Firehouse Subs. Family-owned Jason's Deli has quickly grown to more than 250 locations in nearly 30 states, differentiating itself with a salad bar and a menu focused on healthier food.

About the research: The report was based on data from an annual survey of more than 12,700 consumers in the United States who are asked to rate their satisfaction with their last experience at a given restaurant chain and their likelihood to recommend it to others.
