Oregon and Oregon State are teams heading in different directions entering their Civil War Matchup on Wednesday night in Corvallis. The Ducks are on a three game winning streak and have won nine of their last ten games. The Beavers are going in the other direction suffering defeats on the road to Cal and Stanford. One reason for the Ducks success has been Senior Joseph Young.

Young has been the leading scorer in two of the last three games for Oregon and is on a roll in the second half putting up close to twenty-six points per game on average. He is also hitting he shots and picking up big rebounds in key moments of the game.

The Senior secured the win last weekend against Stanford with a foul in the final seconds and two free throws that sealed the win for Dana Altman’s club. Oregon State is looking at the opposite end of the spectrum.

Following a 5-2 start in Pac-12 play, the Beavers have lost five of their last six games and are looking to close out the regular season on a postive note. A win for Wayne Tinkle could mean a bid in the NIT. It would also give the State of Oregon two teams with eighteen win seasons for the first time since 1976. Both teams would also finish in the top half of the Pac-12 Standings.

Oregon and Oregon State tipoff Wednesday at 8pm Pacific time on ESPNU.
