“Satura” (Satire in Latin) seems to have been the first theatral representation in Rome, a way to escape the suffering and misery of the time. The actors were dyed the face of bright colors or wearing funny masks, representing the various moods of the human being.
But “Satura” (from the Latin “Satur”, full, sated) is also the abnormal condition in which the level of an electric signal tends to stray beyond the supply voltage of the circuit.
A parallelism of the status of human being and technological that is also reflected in our days.
The installation was made by Glasspiel Creative for Periferica Festival.
