Jake Fisher Impresses at NFL Combine, Improves Draft Stock
When it comes to being fast on your feet as an athlete many would think of Marcus Mariota or De’Anthony Thomas when talking about the Oregon Ducks. One former player who will look to make an impact in the NFL Draft had a solid day at the NFL Combine on Friday. Offensive Tackle Jake Fisher recorded the third fastest short shuttle since 2006 coming in at 4.33 seconds. The Shuttle is said to be one of the best tools used to project future success according to RotoWorld.

Fisher also posted the second fastest time in the forty-yar dash among Offensive Lineman at 5.01 seconds. He was also a workhorse on the three cone drill posting a time if 7.25 which comes in as the eight best Combine time for an Offensive Lineman since 1999. Fisher weighed in at 306 pounds. With his work ethic and what he did today I fully expect Fisher to move up a round or two for the NFL Draft in April.
He may even find himself in an area of need late in the first round or early in the second if the right team sees the need. The NFL Combine runs continues on Saturday and the Quarterbacks will take center stage including Marcus Mariota. Jameis Winston from Florida State announced on Friday that he would also throw on Saturday. UCLA’s Bret Hundley is also looking to make an impression and show that this NFL Draft is more than a two man race.
