      This seemed like the perfect printer - cheap, ink is not too terribly priced and did just what I needed and nothing more: scan and print. I used this printer to occasionally print things like recipes and scan forms, nothing fancy. I would say I used it less than 50 times in 3-4 months of ownership. Suddenly, it ceased working. It makes a grinding sound when attempting to load paper (whether it is a single sheet or a dozen) and professes a non-existent paper jam every time I attempt to print something. And, unfortunately, Amazon.com will not exchange or accept returns on items once you have had them for more than 30 days. So, now I have a $50 printer-shaped brick sitting here next to me. Yay.

      While I understand what "no frills" means...this HP printer has added a new dimension to that description!! Consider the following:

      > It does not print paper size 8-1/2 x 14 (legal size)

      > It does not have an automatic feeder (manual one by one only)

      > Print size cannot be adjusted up or down (this is a BIG one for me)

      For some reason, I had assumed the above features were pretty standard on all copiers and not considered "extras" (meaning more expensve). I now wish that I had spent a little more money and gotten a better copier from another manufacturer that would include the above. It's basically a copier well-suited to a high school student who perhaps needs only single copy 8-1/2x11 homework papers!! The quality of the frame itself is cheap plastic. I would not recommend this particular printer!!!

      It took a longer than the estimated delivery date for the product to arrive. Other than that, I have no complaints about the product itself. It comes with 1 black ink cartridge, 1 color ink cartridge, a usb cable, and a carry bag for the printer. Installation took less than 10 minutes. All you do is press the power button on the printer and attach the usb cable to your computer. Its not the quickest printer but its quick enough and I would say a great buy for the price.
