Oregon Ducks Considering Vernon Adams As Transfer Candidate?

The Oregon Ducks over the last few months have been rumored to looking outside the program for help at the Quarterback position. Now that Heisman Trophy Winner Marcus Mariota has moved on to the National Football League, Oregon Head Coach Mark Helfrich is looking at several options.

Several months ago it was the name of Ohio State Quarterback Braxton Miller that was getting some attention as a possible transfer to the Oregon Ducks to lead the team in 2015. At the time he was injured and it was thought that J.T. Barrett was the heir apparent. That, of course, was before Cardale Jones not only saved their season but took them to and helped win a National Championship over Oregon. A move from Miller seems to have cooled and the Ducks have turned their attention closer to home.

Now another name has surfaced in Vernon Adams. Adams is eligible to play immediately in a transfer since he has already graduated and would be starting grad school. What makes it an intriguing possibility – Adams is the Starting Quarterback at Eastern Washington, who is slated to begin the 2015 season visiting Oregon.

According to 247Sports, Adams also seems intrigued and will be visiting the Oregon Ducks this weekend. A move to Oregon would be a benefit and give the transfer candidate more exposure and a Wide Receiver to throw to in Bralon Addison who is also looking to make a name for himself after missing all of 2014 with a knee injury.
